Blades Short Track Speed Skating Club

Blades is a club for everyone interested in short track speed skating.  Based at Iceworld Boondall, we cater for beginners to world class speed skaters.

Age is no barrier to speed skating with divisions from Nippers (under 8-years-old) right up to Masters (over 30-years).  So come and join us on the ice on a Sunday morning.  We will teach you everything you need to know to have fun and go fast on the ice! We offer 2 free come and try sessions so check out the details in the "Come and Try" area of this website. 

Come and join us for some laps on a Sunday morning between 10:00 and 11:00am, but arrive 30 minutes prior to the session to put on your gear.  Casual speed skating sessions cost $20 per session and are payable on arrival. We welcome all Australian Ice Racing affiliated members to our training sessions.

Please note, there will be no Come and Try session on Sunday, 16 December 2018 as the Queensland Clubs Championships will be held on that day. Also, due to our support of the synchronized skating team who will be preparing for National Championships, there will be no Come and Try sessions or training sessions on Sundays, 18 & 25 November 2018.
